Off my life so far

Woahhh it's been awhile since the last update! Nak kata busy nau takde la tp ok la boleh tahan sejak ada umiecanbake ni. Still takde order everyday but alhmdulillah. Ada satu dua order pon syukur dah. And i'm still doing a delivery with a certain amount of minimum order. It's not easy ya nk meniaga kek ni sbb ramai yg boleh buat. Saingan tu byk. Tp insya Allah if ikhlas, minat dan guna barang berquality ada la market tu. Cewah sedapkan hati. Haha. 

Ada gak org tanya berbaloi ke aku buat delivery ni? Mcm aku ckp td ada minimum order. Setakat 1 order mmg tak berbaloi lah. Dan aku mmg suka delivery sbb lps tu aku leh merayau window shopping ke apa. Haha. 

Bulan ni ada 2 highlights dlm hidup aku.  First aku akan attend baking class this week. First time ni. Hopefully dpt la manfaatkan ilmu tu. 

Second, aku akan join 2 kwn baik aku bukak booth kt Bazaar Lepak. Mmg jauh kt Shah Alam. Tp xpe lah experience sambil tu leh promote kan. Korg meh la dtg nanti eh kat Seksyen 7 Shah Alam. Best price punya. Gitu ayat biasa. Haha.

Off story of my babies lak. Aku dh registerkan Safiyya kt The Little Caliphs. Sabtu haritu pegi open day TLC dgr taklimat. Teacher bwk Safiyya naik atas join painting session. Safiyya ok x menangis. Takde pon cari aku wpon adik aku ckp muka dia stress xnk senyum. Haha. Tp lps tu dia yg xnak blk ok. Seronok ada teacher layan, fun activities and ramai kwn. 

Si Adele pulak Sabtu aritu officially dia merangkak. Happy sgt tgk because i've been waiting for this phase. Safiyya dulu x merangkak skip terus jalan. Wpon lambat 10 bln baru nk merangkak tp ok la still i'm a proud mommy. Masa Adele 9 bln aritu aku dh intro fm kat Adele sbb stock ebm dh tggl sikit. Pastu aku dh start busy siapkan order mmg takdan nak pump. 

Luckily Adele nk fm tp kalau aku ada dia reject gak kadang-kadang. Nk df je smp sakit aku. Maybe sbb susu dah x byk tp Adele kuat menyusu. Makan pon kuat. Pantang tgk org makan mesti dia pow. Haha. 

Dan td aku baru perasan gigi atas Adele dh keluar sebatang! Yeay. Aku dari haritu dok fikir bila la nk byk gigi dia. Kekeke. 

Well so far ini je la cerita kami. Ada gak nk cerita pasal quick holiday. Tp tu nnt lah bila rajin in next entry.

New Bag

Akhirnya setelah keluar masuk 4,5 kali butik konon nk mintak izin suamilah nk beli handbag itu pon dia x bg suruh menyimpan, aku beli jugak sebuah handbag cap Furla. Furla je pon kata aku kepada suami. Bkn Prada ke LV pon. Lgpon i work hard for it cewah! haha.

Actually i got delivery on that day. Sampai je Bangsar Village, kedai pertama aku nampak is Furla. Punya la dh lama tak pergi BV, taktau pon dh ada Furla kt situ. Terus bwk Safiyya masuk situ dan terus gak nampak handbag yg aku sgt berkenan terus pegang pakai crossbody bagai amek gambar tunjuk kt Wan. Berzaman aku nk tggu dia reply. Cis!

Pastu g lunch then ajak kawan aku tgk ngn harapan ada sokongan. haha. Ramai yer g lunch kat Bangsar tu bwk paper bag Furla. Well ada sale sebenarnya. Tu yg lg kuat nk beli sbb i can afford it. Gitu. Pastu dok fikir mcm nk pitam terkangkang aku siapkan order brownies/congo bars a day before terus berkata dalam hati "ah x kira nk beli gak, i deserve this". Sampai SA tanya "Camne,husband bg tak beli?". Haha.

Maka, berjaya gak dpt another handbag utk tahun ini selain dari Sofina 3 Signature itu. Adik aku cakap, dari spend duit kat handbag mahal baik dia beli emas. Eh sukati lah aku suka handbag. Eventho initial plan nk beli Prada tp laki tak bg so downgrade lah.

If perasan ada keyring teddy bear pink kat handbag tu, yg tu separate. Different price. Aku beli gak sbb Safiyya dok pegang. Aku pon beli la konon dedikasi anak-anak. HAHA. Byk kan alasan konon dia. Apa pon , i'm happy! Bye!

Safiyya's 3rd birthday

Dh sebulan lebih punya hal baru nk cerita kat sini. Simple birthday celebration je pon utk Safiyya. Last year celebrate ala kadar sbb aku pregnant xde mood nak plan apa masa tu. Just order cake je. This time awal jugak plan. 

Mula-mula ingat nk buat kat kfc. Dgn family besar aku lah. Sekali adik beradik aku semua ada hal. Kecewa jugak lah aku masa tu. Aku kesian kat Safiyya je sbb nnt dia takde kwn nak main together. 

End up aku pilih Nando's. Sbb aku suka Nando's haha. Small party je. Yg dtg ibu,along,adik pastu parents in law, kakak ngn adik ipar aku. Tu je. Ada jugak la sorg cousin Safiyya yg layan dia. 10 org je. Ala-ala private party gitu. Kahh. 

Tema Elmo sbb Safiyya masa tu suka Elmo. Birthday cake rupa Elmo aku tempah kt baker Melaka. Rupa cantik tp x sedap. Aku patut buat brownies je. 

Crop top tutu skirt Safiyya aku tempah ngn Bellebabiesdesign. Sampai on the day nk celebrate tu. Nasib baik. Good services ngn diorg ni. Nk tempah lg nnt utk birthday Adele nnt. 

Pastu g beli helium balloons ada rupa elmo bagai. Suka la Safiyya. Seronok tgk dia happy. Safiyya ni picky eater mkn fries, nasik putih ngn telo dadar. Lain rupa bentuk dia xmau. So dia mkn gak la fries kt Nando's tu. Birthday cake pon dia makan la sikit. 

Masa nk tiup lilin tu dia malu sudahnya cousin dia Amirah tu tiup. Org nyanyi ramai-ramai bila staff Nando's bwk cake tu kat meja.hihi. Yg x best takde pn gambar kami berempat. Sbb Adele meragam je xnk org lain. Penat ok. Aku makan pun x habis. Tp takpelah janji Safiyya happy. Ni je gambar yg ada. 

Last picture tu dia excited nak bukak hadiah. Hehe. 

Itu je lah ceritanya. Semoga anak mommy sentiasa happy, jadi anak yg baik,beriman,solehah,bijak dan dgr cakap mommy daddy. We loves you so much Safiyya!

Wow it has been 2 months since the last update. Busy katanya. Hehe. Alhamdulillah skrg dah ada dunia baru selain dari suami dan anak-anak. Tak tersangka sebenarnya akan pilih bidang ni. I am now a part time baker. Yes a BAKER. Ala buat brownies je pon. I don't have magic hands and i am not a gifted person. Tp bersyukur boleh buat sesuatu yg sedap dan boleh jual. Hehe. Tak terfikir lagi nk buat kek cantik deco sana sini sbb tak kreatif. 

Semuanya bermula sbb aku suka makan brownies. Byk kali buat nak dapat yg sedap ikot tekak laki bini. Bila ada 3rd party yg test kata sedap boleh jual terus on. 

Started with hershey's brownies with walnut and classic congo bars je now dah boleh buat special hershey's brownies, fudgy brownies, premium congo bars, butterscotch bars and red velvet cheesecake brownies. InsyaAllah in the future akan add on lg menu yg tak complicated nak buat dan makan. Kekeke. 

Boleh tgk all those brownies and customer feedback dekat IG umiecanbake. Dah nak 3 bulan jugak aku meniaga. Syukur alhamdulillah setakat ni ada la order walaupon tak hari-hari. Org Melaka pn takde yg order lg. Tapi takpe nama pon meniaga. Dah la nobody. Start dari bawah gitu. I'm happy with my current life now. Dgn ada nya side income ni dpt la nk menampung hidup tgh bulan bila duit dari sumber pendapatan tetap licin. Huee. Takde dah nk harap kat laki je. Rasa independent sgt. Hopefully umiecanbake boleh berkembang dgn jaya lg lps ni. Do support me ya guys! :)

Cerita si adik

Jarangnya aku nk update psl si adik ni kn. Kesian. Dh tu asek nk mengulit dia je cmne kan. Kekeke. Ok meh la update sikit perkembangan dia setakat ni.

- Baru masuk 7 bulan. Alhamdulillah semangat budaknya. Berat last timbang masa 5 bulan 7.6kg. Rasanya x byk pon naik sbb dia active.
- Fully on breastfeeding up to this date. Alhamdulillah. Tak susah bg dia bottle. Unless aku dh lama sgt kat rumah tak pegi kerja dia take time nk on bottle balik. Tp so far takde drama reject susu lg bila aku g office or kuar jap tinggalkan dia.
- Dah start on solid food. Tp dia kurang suka makanan bayi. Dia nak makanan yg mak dia makan. Amboi kan. First solid food dia apple puree. Ok la dia suka. Pastu bg puree kurma. Dia x suka. Bg biskut farley mula2 je makan lps tu taknak dah. Bg plain rice dia reject. Mak aku buat bubur letak kentang ngn garam SIKIT katanya wpon aku dh pesan jgn letak, yg tu Adele suka lah. Brown rice pun tak makan sgt. Tp bg benda manis mcm coklat ngn ice cream beriya lah makan paksa masuk mulut. Oh dia suka custard sauce dlm trifle pudding aku buat.
- Dia start kenal org masa 2 bulan lebih ya. Since tu mmg ssh sgt nk kt org including daddy ngn uwan dia. Menangis2 kalo aku x amek. Skrg dh ok sikit. Dh besar agaknya. Tp kalau aku nk tinggalkan dia g kerja kena make sure time dia tido or else dia mengamok gak. hehe. Aku takde dia ok je.
- Terer meniarap. Start belajar meniarap at 3mo. Masuk je 4mo baru active dan pro meniarap. Hehe
- Pandai bergolek-golek. Mmg takleh tinggal dah atas katil. Start pandai bergolek dlm 5 bulan lbh. Ini lah jadi bila mak pelupa pastu malas update kt blog.
- Kuat membebel gak. If org panggil adik or adele mmg dia menyahut
- Suka berbaby-wearing tp lately mengamok bila nk tido. Xnk dok dlm ergo
- Tak suka dok dlm car seat mahu pon stroller
- Dah pandai grab barang. Semua pon nk masuk mulut. Skrg dia suka main toys kakak dia yg jenis boleh cabut and lekatkan balik. Terer sgt dia cabut benda alah tu. Kalau tak dpt cabut dia bengang. haha.
- Dah reti mengesot. Laju pulak tu. Ini agak baru dlm last 2 weeks. Dh mcm beluncas aku tgk. kekeke.
- Suka mandi dekat sinki. Mandi kt dlm toilet melalak. Apsal tah
- Suka lagu Ya Hanana. Fav song. Kalo tidokan dlm buai bukak je lagu tu tido la dia sendiri.
- Suka sgt gelak kalo kakak dia buat lawak pandir. Padehal kakak dia panggil je "baby, baby, mmmuuahhh". Beriya gelak. haha.



So far ini je yg aku ingat. Semoga aku rajin lg nk update psl adik. Update kakak kita tggu 3rd birthday dia next month InsyaAllah.

Short babbling

Hello. Happy Tuesday everyone. I took EL yesterday as my car tire got punctured so today i am in the office. My colleague said there are few things to discuss but she got an emergency today. Hmm. But it is okay though, at least i got settle down my task today.

Well actually i miss my babies right now. Sometimes i hope i just can leave this job and be a full time housewife but part of me says i still love my job, i need that fixed income. How now brown cow? Husband already give me a green light to quit. The sooner the better. He prefer me to be at home now. At least until Adele not in the need-mommy-all-the-time phase.
We have a backup plan for me to find a side income and now we are trying to settle/reduce the total amount of PTPTN and my credit card. Pray hard to not swipe the credit card now. huhu.

Next month, Safiyya's turning to 3. How fast the time flies huh? Might send her to playschool next year. She loves to have friends around and play together. She loves to babble in her own language. Only me and husband understand what she talks about. haha. A picky eater who loves ice cream. She loves her baby sister. Ah so many lovely things about her. Bias la of course. kekeke.

I'm planning her 3rd birthday bash in my mind. Already survey the cake, the theme, birthday gift and even her dress. haha. I don't have mood to plan her birthday last year because of 2nd pregnancy so this year is a must! Only a simple one. Family and close friends. Hopefully. Still planning though.

Phonics Desk or that laptop?

Last Sunday, we brought her to Toys r us and we bought her something like cooking set. Things we can cut using the plastic knife and can re-attach back. She so clever after got her stuff then said "come, let's go!". haha. So big girl already. Ok lah that's all. Going back home now.

Raya 2015

Tahun ni tak meriah sgt. First day raya pon pegi 2 buah rumah je on husband's side. Tema first day salmon color. Repeat pakai baju masa wedding adik aku haritu. The girls ok je tak byk hal. Dh kata tak pegi mana pon kan. Gmbr kitorg berempat pon lupa nk amek. Huhu.

Second day beraya on my side tu pon 2 buah rumah je sbb diorg dh pergi beraya rumah sedara lain on first day. Nasib baik sempat buat mintak ampun session. Ngn laki je tak sempat sbb dia busy pakai sampen la buat susu Safiyya la. Tema raya kedua was black. Adik meragam sket sbb panas kot pakai baju kurung tu. Pastu ajak my family dtg beraya kt rumah kami. I made fried spaghetti and nutella choc brownies for minum ptg. Malam for dinner, sister in laws tolong buat lauk simple2 je. Sambal kentang, tumis air sayur ngn ayam goreng sbb Adele meragam taknak org taknak letak.

Raya ketiga pulak family in law dtg beraya. We wore blue. Tp x kemana pon. Balik Rembau kejap pastu balik Durian Tunggal balik prepare lauk. I cooked kari ayam. Laku jugak wpon mak bwk mcm2 dari Umbai. Siap ngn tong air ada ais, sirap n air gula. Kekeke.

Raya kelima Angah aku lak dtg beraya and overnight kat rumah. Seronok lah sikit ramai org kat rumah. Aku masak express sambal ayam. Kak ipar goreng sayur ngn telur dadar.
Esoknya breakfast aku buat lg fried spaghetti. Pastu lunch kat Melantak steak hub belanja diorg makan.

The Girls

Nasib baik last weekend we had a good time. Pergi beraya rumah my besties. On Saturday pergi beraya dekat Nilai dulu pastu singgah melawat Mitsui outlet Sepang. Kat situ lah aku moody and temper masa tgh minum Adele tarik gelas terus jatuh pecah. Fuhh sakit hati aku bgn terus blah masuk kete. Mmg drama air mata lps tu. Siap dh nk blk Melaka. Kahkah. Tp sbb fikir dah janji nk pegi raya rumah tipah laki ckp pegi jugak. Hehe.

Esoknya pulak pergi openhouse dekat Casa Heliconia. Seronoknya bila dpt jumpa kwn2 rapat. Kalau tak hadap la ragam anak-anak je. Sempat gak bergambar ngn Dr Halina. Ah cantiknya dia. Mcm kena try je Kawaii collagen tu. Budget leh jelita mcm dia gak. Haha. This week ada another round beraya tp rumah abang-abangku je. Itu lah kisah hari raya kami yg x berapa nk raya. Laki kata tahun ni mcm xde mood. Apa sajalah janji budak berdua tu dapat duit raya. Dh selamat masuk tabung haji pon. Hehe.

Raya preparation for 2015

Thn ni beraya berempat. First raya with Adele. 3rd raya with Safiyya. Alhamdulillah kebanyakkannya dh settle. First raya akan repeat pakai baju masa wedding adik haritu. Warna salmon. Wan nnt pakai je la jubah mekah yg org bg. Off color la tp belasah je la. Oh raya Umbai dulu this year. Second day black theme. I got mine from JBasic, Jovian. Masa beli tu la baru decide raya theme. Hahaha tak memasal la the girls ni kena pakai hitam.  Susah gak nk cari black kurung utk diorg. Nasib baik la jumpa jugak. Baju melayu hitam Wan dpt gak beli kt Parkson brand Orlando. Settle.

Ada la few dresses aku belikan utk Safiyya ngn Adele. 5 pasang sorg asalnya tp 1 dress aku order for each of them from mango tak sempat sampai. Maka refund. Then 1 lg from Cotton On too big for both mcm baju pinjam. Haha. Beli sbb murah. Syg tak beli. So 3 je confirm boleh pakai. 1 set top with legging, 1 set top and pants and 1 set t-shirt with skirt. Sorg sepasang lah. Except skirt utk adik xde size kena la pakai pants. Ok lah tu kan. Kasut for the girls 2 pasang sorg. 1 je same color. Bab kasut susah nk cari sama because Adele still kena pakai baby size. Mahal ok kasut budak. Kasut Safiyya sepasang leh dpt 2 pasang kasut aku kt Jelly Bunny after discount. Haha.

As for kuih raya, sbb first raya rumah sendiri this year maka rajin la buat cookies. Tu pon buat yg paling simple. Choc chip cookies ala famous amos, almond cluster, honey cornflakes and cornflakes cookies. X byk pon. Dpt buat 2 balang utk sendiri, 2 balang rumah ibu, sebalang kecik utk mak mentua for each cookies. Yg cornflakes cookies tu je dpt sikit sbb last minute tetiba adik ajak buat pastu dh petang dia nk blk. Kerepek pon Wan dh beli. InsyaAllah ada masa Adele tak buat perangai nnt buat choc cake, nutella brownies and blueberry cheesecake kot. Semoga anak-anak bg kerjasama la nnt sbb xde sape tolong. Yg cookies adik ada tolong aku. Kalau x jenuh aku menyiapkan ngn Adele yg asek mengempeng.

Duit raya pulak aku takde budget tahun ni. Nasib baik ada baki last year. Hehe. Wan je la tukar duit nk bg anak2 buah ngn mak sedara dia.

Excited gak la tahun ni sbb ada new addition in the family despite with currency jatuh, barang naik, gst and all. Pastu raya rumah sendiri insyaAllah maybe day 3,4. Will see how. Hehe ok lah. Sape2 yg mengenali diri ni dtg la beraya nnt. Bgtau awal-awal k nk dtg. Till then, Selamat Hari Raya Maaf Zahir Batin!

Beef Lasagna for berbuka

Salam Ramadhan. It's already day-14 of fasting. How time flies!
So yesterday i made a little spicy beef lasagna for berbuka. It was my first attempt and alhamdulillah it turned out very good. Hubs ate a lots and there are still few left.

I've referred to two blogs for the recipe especially for the bechamel sauce. Credit to Pet and Cik Epal. And actually it's not that complicated to prepare this dish. As long as you have enough ingredients then you're good to go.
I started to make the bolognese sauce first. Same sauce i always did when i make spaghetti bolognese.

Meat Sauce

Yellow onion - finely diced
Garlic - finely diced
3-4 tbs blended dried chili
1 jar of bolognese sauce
1 tin button mushroom
Finely diced green capsicum
400gm minced meat
salt to taste
ground black pepper
1-2 tbs chili sauce

Cook onion and garlic till it smell nice and a bit yellowish then add in the blended chili. Cook for about 5-7minutes and then add in the minced meat. Cook until the water from the meat is almost dry. Pour in the bolognese sauce followed by the chili sauce. Keep on stirring and add in the button mushroom and the capsicum. Season to taste.


At the same time, i make a bechamel sauce.

Bechamel sauce

1/2 butter
3-4 tbs all purpose flour
500ml fresh milk
1/2 cheddar cheese (5pcs)
salt to taste
ground black pepper

With a small heat, melt the butter and add in the flour. Keep on stir and pour in the fresh milk. Seasoning to taste. Add in the cheddar cheese and turn off the heat.

As for lasagna sheet, immerse the sheet in a hot boil water with a salt and oil until soft. Do not over-soak ya.

So how to stack?

Meat sauce at the bottom layer
Lasagna sheet
Meat sauce
Bechamel sauce
Lasagna sheet
Meat sauce
Bechamel sauce
Lasagna sheet
Meat sauce
Bechamel sauce
And put on lots of mozarella and parmesan cheese on top

Make sure to preheat the oven first and bake the lasagna at 180deg for 30-40mins until the cheese melted and brown. Wait for about 15 mins before you cut it! No more regret once you eat your own lasagna. No more restaurant-buy lasagna i tell you. hehe.

Things in my mind

I am still wide awake at this hour. Too many things on my mind. It's all started with whose gonna babysit my daughters when i'm off to work. Yes my mom is currently taking care of them when i'm going to the office. Since we have Adele and she just so small and need lots of attention, clingy and love to be cuddle most of the time, i will get a complained from her each time i came back home. And she always remind me to find a helper which we already search for since Adele was in my womb. It's not easy to find a helper in kampung area these days. I'm lucky that my job is flexible. My manager is a cool person actually. He can tolerate with me to work from home as long as my task are all completed. Alhamdulillah i have an unfussy boss. So most of the time i will work at home so i can look after the girls at the same time. Roughly 2,3 times per week i work from home and sometimes 4 times a week depends on situation.

Then my mom suddenly mentioned to me about new nursery that just opened in town. I told her if we send the girls to nursery they will easily get sick. And i got slammed by that statement. Haih. Really, i just can't let strangers taking care of my girls. So many crazy/mental people in this world. I am a paranoid mother. I am scared. Safiyya not yet 3. She can't even speak well. Eventho my mom said she can take care of Adele until she turns 1, i am so not ready to let my girls go yet.

And i confided to my husband. He just said, "Easy, just resign. Let's packing our stuff and go back to our own house. Take care of our girls". Big part of me says "yeay!!!" But another tiny part says i love my job. I love money. Can we survive without my income? I have lots of commitment. My car, personal loan, credit card. That 3 only costs me almost 2k. I don't have any savings and i have my own interest that sometimes it's not cheap. Ya tak sedar diri i know.

And raya is coming (of course puasa dulu). Lots of money will involve. Maybe no duit raya from me this year. Sorry kids. Baju raya? Hmmm i have 2 never wear modern kurung. Maybe just buy new dresses for the girls. If lucky maybe my husband will buy new baju for us. Hehe. Or just wear back the attire from my sister' wedding.
Ah anything will do as long as 4 of us colorcoordinated. Haha.

My plan now is just work from home and taking care of the girls. Maybe show my face to the boss 1-2 times a week. And wait until final year review. At the same time i'm looking for a potential online business with my close friend. Hope these will be right on track. Or else, maybe i just quit with no further complains. Heee..

My Sister's wedding and Adele's Aqiqah

She is not a little anymore but she is my younger sister and she just got married to her best friend since primary school last 2 weeks.
The solemnization was happened on Friday night after Isya'. And our family theme was turquoise. I'm not sure what the color is. I think it's blue but the photographer keep mentioning green family. I wore a set of nursing friendly blouse and mermaid skirt with chicnbasic NaelofarHijab, baju kurung for Safiyya and a sleeveless dress for Adele.

 

On the next day, Saturday morning was a majlis Aqiqah for my baby Adelea. It's just a simple ceremony with marhaban and then all the atoks touch adele's head with dua' i think as she already done with tahnik and cukur jambul when she was 7 days old.
And her atok sponsored the kambing golek on that day.

After the majlis, i did some small set up for my sister guest book table and wedding signage. We just use whatever we have including Safiyya's very new easel blackboard. Only the fresh flower centerpiece I've ordered from florabyshayra. The reception theme was mint green and pink. Family theme outfit is salmon. I chose the color by the way. I'm wearing nursing friendly mini kurung with laces and printed babesnbasic by NaelofarHijab, both girls wearing sleeveless kurung. Adelea being such a cutie pie on that day. We have kambing golek, ice cream, lots of kuih and cendol. And for the first time i ate lamb as it looks delish and the taste was good too!

Sunday was majlis bertandang at the groom side. Not too far from our house. It was held in Dewan Sri Rembau. Family theme was emerald green. I wore a nursing friendly maxi dress with ladylove scarf by NaelofarHijab, maxi dress for Safiyya and baby dress for Adelea. We are so going to recycle those baju this coming raya. Haha.

Alhamdulillah all went well. Extra foods and no extra doorgifts. Hehe. Big congratulations to my dear sister. Hope you have a blessed marriage and wish you a happiness till jannah. Love you!
